“The importance of an association at the service of its territory. Cortina For Us is a not-for-profit association, active for over 7 years, composed of shopkeepers, entrepreneurs, artisans and freelancers of the territory, united by the desire to bring together the different local actors. The association currently has more than 130 members. The associates are volounteers working to design and organise events to promote Cortina and its excellences. Over the years, Cortina For Us has managed to be recognised by the Municipality and other local institutions for its commitment and for the quality of its work, strengthening cooperation with a perspective of dialogue and collaboration between different bodies.”
Environmetnal and social sustainability are among the core values promoted by Cortina For Us: these principles are incorporated in all its events and spill over to the firms working with the association. A shared ethical vision is indeed necessary to cooperate with Cortina For Us. All its events are not only aimed at entertaining tourists and locals, they also integrate the association’s social commitment, for example including charitable purposes or offering scholarships related to the topic of the event.
Year after year, the events organised by Cortina For Us are confirmed and grow in terms of quality and participation.
Since the beginning, in 2014, Cortina For Us has supported key events such as the Ladies’ Ski World Cup, making itself available to coordinate all side events in the town centre.
“Other events are organised directly by Cortina For Us: Cortina’s Carnival, whcih, on its 2020 edition, coloured and lived up the town in partnership with the Municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo; L’Antico nelle Dolomiti, an antique market and exhibition of high level; The Queen of Taste, a two-day event to promote Cortina’s culinary culture and traditions; and then the best-known event, the Cortina Fashion Weekend. This event, first conceived by Cortina Turismo, has long become Cortina’s main winter event. Other ideas are under development, including the Cortina Design Weekend, held in the form of online webinars during its first edition in 2020, with the participation of internationally recognised architects. Given its success, we are working to make it become one of the regular events of Cortina For Us.”
